From the 3rd to the 5th May 2007, AISAC ( the International Federation of Catholic Health Care Associations) held an International Congress in Vatican City, Rome. Almost 100 delegates from 47 countries took part. The theme was "Aggiornamento (revitalizing) of Catholic health care worldwide". Input was given by Catholic health professionals on five continents, and then there were discussion and planning sessions aimed at ensuring an effective and sustainabale health care ministry in the future. Three delegates from Southern Africa attended: Dr. Douglas Ross, Vice-Chairperson of CATHCA, who is also on the Steering Committee of AISAC; Thuli Mzamane, who is the Development officer at CATHCA's National office; and Mamello Makoae, who runs the Lesotho Catholic Bishops' Conference health Desk in Maseru. Below are some photos taken during the conference. Click on the pictures to view a larger image.
